Just came across Mrs.O, a website that chronicles the fashion of our brand new First Lady Michelle Obama, and this sweet, candid photo from Inauguration night:

Can I just say, I love these two? I love them. I love them as individuals, I love them as a couple, I love them together with their beautiful daughters as our First Family. This moment is so touching and so telling about their relationship. It’s just… swoon.
Looking at this photo, I was struck by how much it looks like an engagement or even a wedding photo (Lord knows I’ve been looking at plenty of those lately. Know any good wedding photographers in Massachusetts? Give me a shout.). The guys to the left almost look like groomsmen in their tuxes.
I haven’t said this here because it goes without saying but I’ll say it now: I’m so excited for this new presidency. Like the rest of the country, I’m enamored with Barack Obama. I know he has a lot of work before him, but I also know without a doubt that with this man in the Oval Office, we can only go up from here. And for that, I am excited.
