You don’t know me.

So, it’s Sunday and it’s been a crazy weekend and I’m struggling to get something up today.

We got the bed (finally. Though when we got home with it we found the frame they gave us to be BROKEN and had to go back to Jordan’s YET AGAIN. We’re now on a first name basis with all the guys in the Jordan’s warehouse, who are decidedly far more cool than the money-hungry, commission-crazed employee we were working with the the Sleep Lab who’s eyes lit up like the Chrysler Building when we said, “for all this extra money for the split box spring and the split box spring frame, we could have gotten the king.” And no, we didn’t get the king.).

We did get the Volvo, which checked out fine at the inspection and ended up being an even greater deal than we imagined. Thank you Craigslist. Can I get an Amen? Amen.

Charming aside: I might regret admitting this so publicly but, I’m a Volvo person. I am. No, eff that, I’m a proud Volvo person. VOLVO LOVERS UNITE, WHAT!

…. you still there?

We got the rugs too, which are awesome. One is an 8×12 ft. white shag rug from West Elm that was bought less than a year ago for $600 and was gently used in a non-smoking, non-pet home. We got it for $75. Thank you Craigslist! Can I find a bargain or can I find a bargain! Amen.

Anyways, I really just wanted to share this song I’m really into these days which I discovered thanks to my Regina Spektor station on Pandora. It’s totally got me dancing around the house as I do my Sunday chores. (Ugh, sony music disabled embedding! Screw you, sony. I am purposefully not capitalizing your name.) Just click and listen, okay? Though fair warning, the video is kind of creepy in an almost charming but really just creepy sort of way. And Regina does not appear at all, which is a big downfall, in my opinion.

Word.

Hey Girlie-girl: You had to go to work today so you could get some rest! Nobody ever said moving into a new home, furnishing it and decorating it would be easy. But, there will come a day(soon, I hope) when you will be able to sit down, say “AH…” and enjoy your nest. Of course, if I know you, by then you will be ready to change it all again. Take it easy too and we will see you soon!
